 Gary Wade

Gary Wade has a Masters Degree in Plasma Physics and has had a number of UFO sightings & encounters throughout his life. He worked in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Section of Hughes Aircraft for seven years, so he brings a scientific perspective to his firsthand experiences with the world of the ET's. He has a very informative technical lecture on YouTube entitled “Gary Wade UFO Lecture” that would make an excellent intro to his mindset. 

In his May talk, Wade will go over 15 personal UFO sightings, some of which were at very close range. He will talk about directly related phenomena that occurred in association with these sightings, such as  telepathy, altered reality, and distortion of time flow rate. Also, he will discuss other experiences and phenomena he believes are related to these UFO encounters in general and give a general overview of what he believes it all means. Followed by Q&A on the talk, technical issues and his experiences working in aerospace.

 Diana Perla Chapa

We are very pleased to have Diana Perla Chapa as our featured speaker for April. Chapa is very well known in Mexico as a UFO investigator and television host. For the past decade, she has been the Director of the UFO Club of Nuevo Leon, which is based in Monterrey, Mexico. Her first UFO encounter at age nine gave her a profound interest in the UFO subject. At this point, she has been researching for more than 30 years on a not-for-profit basis.

Mrs. Diana Perla Chapa is a very scrupulous field researcher and a knowledgeable analyst of videos, photographs and film. She will be discussing a variety of Mexican UFO cases with us, and showing UFO footage rarely been seen in the U.S., including some that she shot herself. She will also touch on the worldview of the ancient Mayans, along with the significance of the pyramidal shape and its relation to sightings witnessed in her home state of Nuevo Leon. She will also discuss and show video of the “Witch of Monterrey,” a case involving a strange, flying black shape that resembles a witch or “brujo.”

 

Chapa is best known as the host of the television program, ”Mujeres.” She has worked in a variety of capacities over her 25 year career in television--as host, moderator, coordinator, director and producer. Her shows first appeared on regional TV and later could be seen nationwide in Mexico. Eventually, her cable shows were syndicated throughout most of Latin America. She has been recognized as the first woman to cover the UFO subject in the Mexican mass media. In the early days, she put her career on the line to share her UFO research with the public. Chapa has also been a champion for women’s rights and an advocate against domestic violence, sponsoring a number of initiatives in this regard. Her motto is: “Because we know, not because we believe.”

 Barbara Lamb

Since 1991, Barbara Lamb has hypnotically regressed nearly 900 individuals, helping them to access details of encounters they’ve had with a variety of Extraterrestrial Beings. From her more than 2,200 regressions involving these types of experiences, she has discovered that many of her clients have discovered they have unwittingly contributed to the ET’s programs of creating ET-Human hybrids. Some of them have discovered that they themselves are hybrid beings, with a certain proportion of ET genetics.

 

Barbara’s talk will be richly illustrated with forensic pictures of hybrids as described by experiencers, including examples of early stage, middle and late stage hybrid beings. She will also show photos of human-looking hybrids who live here among us here on earth, some of whom Barbara knows personally. David Paulides

Our February speaker will be author and bigfoot researcher David Paulides. David was a huge hit when he did several shows with George Knapp discussing his “Missing 411” books, which deal with the unusually large number of disappearances in our nation’s National Parks. These disappearances are largely insufficiently explained and the Parks Service is peculiarly mum about them, claiming that do not keep records of these disappearances and are not in the business of law enforcement. David dug deep for information once it became clear that the situation needed some clarification. His findings were such that he decided to put out two volumes, one dealing with disappearances in the West and one dealing with disappearances in the Eastern half of the US.

 

David, a retired police officer, has been a bigfoot researcher for a long time, specializing in the area around the Hoopa Valley and the rugged area around the coastal section of the Klamath River in Northern California. His organization is called the North American Bigfoot Search. Recently, his group has had a breakthrough in that specimens of bigfoot hair that were found by members of his group were recently tested and found to be related to human DNA, but not human DNA.

 

David will be bringing copies of his tremendously popular “Missing 411” books with him and will be signing them. He will also be discussing his bigfoot research and updating us on the latest discoveries related to bigfoot DNA. Though he is not one to jump to conclusions, I’m sure he will also be willing to share with us some of his surmises as to what might be going on in our National Parks and give us an inkling as to whether he believes some of these disappearances are related to UFOs or Bigfoot activities.  Join us as we attempt to learn more about this disturbing phenomenon.  “ You will never walk in the woods the same way again once you’ve heard what David has uncovered about what might be out there.”

Nick Redfern

Fortean researcher Nick Redfern will be with us in January to discuss how and why government agencies have for decades, taken a clandestine and profound interest in numerous archaeological, historical and religious mysteries. He believes that government research into ancient mysteries is not a purely scientific endeavor. On the contrary, such investigations appear to be aimed at determining if ancient people had advanced technology and if so, how to weaponize it. He also surmises that, should such discoveries be made, they would be kept secret to avoid opening “potentially problematic doors to the past.”  Nick’s talk will cover secret research into Noah’s Ark and the pyramids, as well as esoteric anomalies like the Face on Mars and ancient Indian texts depicting nuclear war. He will also discuss strange incidents surrounding the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947.

 

According to Redfern, antigravity was another possible technology that the government hoped to discover through its study of ancient mysteries. To that end, he observed that cultures throughout the world possess pyramid structures that were created with massive stones, said to be “raised in the air via magical means.” These supernatural feats were often accompanied by mystical music. The military took a great interest in this concept and performed studies on “acoustic technology,” and managed to lift small objects using merely sound. Additionally, Redfern will discuss a meeting in the 1950’s between a secret government weapons group and Morris Jessup, a researcher who contended that such monuments were created using levitation.

 

Nick Redfern is a British writer and researcher who now lives in Dallas, Texas. He has written eight books, including Body Snatchers in the Desert: The Horrible Truth at the Heart of the Roswell Story, and has contributed articles to numerous publications.

Bret Lueder

Chico-based writer and researcher Bret Lueder will be with us for our December meeting. Bret is the author of “A UFO HUNTER’S GUIDE,” a new book that discusses the facts, figures, people, and places that make up modern ufology. The guide provides an overview of the entire field of ufology and was produced to help ordinary people make sense of the UFO phenomenon. He will discuss elements of UFO research along with anecdotes about his bigfoot research and details from his visit to James Gilliland’s ECETI ranch in Washington, where he personally witnessed dozens of aerial craft and light phenomena.

 

Bret has a degree in Journalism from Chico State and is the author of two books, along with numerous interviews and articles. He has also produced several DVDs. Lueder believes that human consciousness is the primary lynchpin for unlocking all mysteries. He will give us tips on how to go about seeing a UFO for ourselves, info on some productive UFO hotspots and give us a younger researcher’s perspective on the role our government is playing in shaping our perceptions of the UFO phenomenon.

Michael Cremo

The Sanskrit word for aircraft and spacecraft is vimana. There are accounts of vimanas in several Sanskrit texts of ancient India. In his lecture, Michael Cremo will focus on accounts of vimanas found in one such text, the Bhagavata Purana, which is one the Puranas, the historical texts of ancient India. The cosmos of the Bhagavata Purana is a multilevel cosmos, with the three main levels being a gross material level, a subtle material level, and a nonmaterial level. Each level is inhabited by beings adapted to the conditions there, and each level has its own kind of vimana. Michael Cremo will take us through the original Sanskrit verses of the Bhagavata Purana about these vimanas.

 

Michael Cremo is on the cutting edge of scientific and cultural issues.  Over the course of a few months, he might be found on a pilgrimage to sacred sites in India, appearing on a national television show, lecturing at a mainstream science conference, or speaking to an alternative science gathering. Crossing disciplinary and cultural boundaries, he presents his audiences with a compelling case for a new consensus on the nature of reality.

 “My father served as an American Intelligence Officer for the United States Air Force, and from that time my life was one of periodic change and travel. I went to high school at an American school in Germany and spent my vacations traveling all over Europe. Once, in the spring of 1965, in a youth hostel in Stockholm, I met some kids who had been to India and back, traveling overland. I decided I would do the same thing someday. Thompson, a founding member of the Bhaktivedanta Institute, that were aimed at both scholarly and popular audiences.”

Michael Cremo is a member of the World Archeological Congress, the History of Science Society and the European Association of Archaeologists. He is also an associate member of the Bhaktivedanta Institute, specializing in the history and philosophy of science.

Don Schmitt

As the greatest generation continues to fade into the pages of history, a surprising number of them are providing firsthand knowledge of the Roswell Crash of 1947 as part of deathbed confessions. Nary a one has described the recovery of any type of weather balloon, foreign technology apparatus, or other evidence that supports the conventional explanations for the incident.

 

The Roswell crash is the most famous UFO case in the world. Now, more than 60 years later, hear the research on this case that you didn’t know about. Schmitt has researched Roswell for decades and is aware of the testimony of hundreds of witnesses who’ve now come forward, including retired military personnel who were involved with the transport or recovery of materials taken from the crash site. Most interestingly for us, Schmitt has now has located a number of new witnesses to the events surrounding the Roswell Crash and will share what they revealed before they passed into the great beyond.

 

Deathbed statements are admissible in every court of law in this country, so there is good reason to take this information seriously. We will hear the details revealed by Carl Hartley, a close friend of Mac Brazel, Sergeant Robert Kopp & Sergeant Frank Vega, who guarded the wreckage and bodies, 1^st Lieutenant Robert Borom, Colonel Doyle Reese, and several other credible individuals with reason to know what really happened at Roswell during this tumultuous time.

 

Donald R. Schmitt is the former Co-director of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies, where he served as Director of Special Investigations for ten years. Prior to that, he was a special investigator for Allen Hynek and the Art Director at International UFO Reporter magazine. Schmitt is the author of dozens of articles about UFOs, as well as the co-author of two best-selling books, UFO Crash at Roswell and Witness to Rowell. Ruben Uriarte

Ruben Uriarte will be with us in September, with a presentation based on his new book, Aliens in the Forest: The Cisco Grove UFO Encounter, coauthored with UFO Researcher, Noe Torres. For the first time, the eyewitness in one of the most intriguing and little known UFO cases has come forward with the details of his terrifying encounter with aliens in a dark forest near Cisco Grove, California.

 

Ruben Uriarte will tell the amazing story of the night in 1964 when hunter Donald Shrum faced his own personal "War of the Worlds." This stranger-than-fiction event took place in the Tahoe National Forest, in the rugged foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.  When he entered the forest with his two hunting buddies, the 26-year-old Shrum’s plan was to enjoy a relaxing weekend of bow hunting for deer. Little did he know that he would endure a terrifying 12-hour struggle with mysterious alien beings. Armed only with his wits and his bow, it took every ounce of his strength to survive this all-night battle.

• “GRAVITY DRIVES AND ALIEN CULTURES”

  A mechanical engineer by training, Rob has gathered information from far and wide to assemble this presentation on gravity drives, the alien cultures that produce them and the earthly inventors and investigators who work on the cutting edge of this area of research. This talk will cover a number of gravity drives that we know about from such diverse sources such as David Adair, John Hutchison, David Hamel and John Searle. Our collective level of knowledge about some of these gravity drives ranges from being sufficient to reproduce them, to nothing more substantial than gossip. 

  One example of advanced tech that Rob will discuss is craft from the red giant Aldebaran, a star shown on the Hertz sprung Russell diagram. Aldebaran has the reputation of being the "Detroit" of the Milky Way. It is said to manufacture ships for several alien races. Similar to our sun but 4 billion years older, with a diameter of 38 million miles, it is 44 times the size of our sun. When our sun goes through its red giant phase, it will engulf Mercury, incinerate Venus and Earth, boil away our oceans and sterilize the planet. However, given the sophistication of the space ships that this civilization allegedly makes, it is plausible that the inhabitants moved the orbit of their planet to avoid destruction. To do this, they would’ve required a gravity drive. The case of Aldebaran is but one that will figure into this survey of the drives reportedly used by various advanced civilizations. 

  Rob will give us an overview of the "cream of the crop" of gravity drives. He will explain how they work and compare their mode of operation with the principles of known physics. Several of these devices are not similar, but violate similar laws of physics. This may help us understand which laws of physics are on shaky ground. These drives are well documented in the public literature, but violate laws of physics that are pretty durable. So even if we could build them successfully, we still would not fully understand how they work.

  Alternately, Rob will describe devices that do not violate any laws of physics, ones that we understand sufficiently so they could be engineered in the public sphere today. These devices would not require exotic materials to build, just elbow grease and engineering skill. Rob will describe the budget and logistics needed to take a drive concept from the theoretical stage to a functioning model, ready to travel in interstellar space. Rob is serious about this and is currently seeking interested entrepreneurs with the wherewithal and gumption to undertake a singular and potentially lucrative project of this kind.

  Rob is a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Colorado (1975). He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Gas Dynamics from the University of Colorado (1976), and currently engineers tunnel ventilation systems for AECOM, a large civil engineering firm. Rob also has a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT (1981), where his thesis was on the vibration of rotating objects. Rob also has a Masters Degree in Management from MIT (1981) with a specialization in Finance and Management Information Systems. For the past 30 years, Rob has engineered exotic industrial equipment for industries as diverse as luxury yachts, microwave synthesizers, incinerators, and control systems.

  Daniel P. Sheehan is a Harvard-trained attorney who over the last 40 years has helped expose injustice, protect fundamental rights and elucidate a compelling vision for humanity's future. Sheehan has been fascinated by questions related to UFOs and Ets for decades.

  In 2001, Danny Sheehan was a legal advisor to the Disclosure Project, when 20 U.S. Officials provided sworn testimony to congressional staff on ET & UFO phenomena. He represented John Mack when he was brought before an academic tribunal at Harvard after the publication of Abduction in 1994 , in an attempt to interfere with his research into UFOs and abductions. Sheehan has been a speaker at the International UFO Congress five times.

  Sheehan believes we are on the verge of an new era, which will be ushered in initially by breakthroughs in quantum physics, and commence in earnest when fist outright contact occurs--either on Earth or in deep space. Sheehan has thought at length about the philosophical and public policy implications of first contact and will  share his provocative conclusions with us.

• “The Kivas of Heaven: Ancient Hopi Starlore”

 

• • After being intrigued by the Four Corners region of the United States for nearly fifteen years, Gary David moved to Arizona in 1994 and began an intensive study of the ancestral Pueblo People and their descendants, the Hopi. Join Arizona author and independent investigator Gary A. David as we explore Native American cosmology and prophecy traditions that might be able to tell us something important about Earth changes that may be coming our way.

    Orion dominates the winter sky, flanked by Taurus the Bull on one side and Canis the Great Dog on the other--three key constellations for the Hopi and prehistoric Pueblo Peoples of the American Southwest. When these stars appear in the entryway to the kiva roof, they synchronize the sacred rituals being performed below. Here we see how a complex ceremonial cycle mirrors the turning of the heavens.

    Gary A. David has travelled extensively throughout the Desert Southwest, studying the archaeological ruins and the rock art of the Anasazi and the culture of their descendants, the Hopi. David is familiar with fascinating and little-known facts about the Hopi, one of the most mysterious and secretive tribes on the North American continent. Gary will be discussing how a group of ancestral Hopi stone villages was constructed over a period of centuries in a pattern that mirrors the shape of the star constellation Orion. He will talk about Hopi kachinas, various cryptozoological creatures of Hopi legend such as the Ant People, the Hopi underworld god who resembles an ET Grey, Hopi "flying shields," and rock carvings depicting "star elders" and their craft. You will come away with a deep appreciation of how the Ancient Ones viewed the world above.

    Gary has a Master’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Colorado. His articles have appeared in Ancient American, Atlantis Rising, Fate, UFO, World Explorer, and Graham Hancock’s new anthology, Lost Knowledge of the Ancients. "Scientifically Researching Abduction

with Budd Hopkins & Alien Symbolism"

 

• Don Donderi is an experimental psychologist and retired college professor from McGill University in Montreal who did considerable work with Budd Hopkins and Stuart Appelle, a professor at SUNY and writer with a serious interest in unidentified flying objects and alien abduction. Don Donderi collaborated with Hopkins and Appelle, also a psychology PhD., for over a decade on two projects related to alien abduction. The first had to do with development of a questionnaire called the American Personality Inventory, designed to help distinguish genuine abductees from other respondents. The API was developed by Hopkins and Ted Davis of the Intruders Foundation as a screening tool to determine the veracity of people presenting themselves to psychologists as abductees.

  The second project involved a set of symbols that Budd Hopkins collected from his abductee clients. Budd Hopkins routinely collected drawings of symbols that his clients recalled seeing inside the alien craft. Stuart Appelle realized that he might be able to gain insight into the nature and reality of the abduction experience by comparing symbols from Hopkins' collection with symbol drawings obtained from hypnotized subjects who were asked to imagine they were having an alien abduction experience and queried as to what symbols they observed during the experience.

  Now that Budd and Stuart have both passed away, Donderi considers it both his duty and pleasure to report on the work that the three of them did together. Much of this research has been presented to the scientific world through reports and through symposia, at meetings of the Association for Psychological Science. Now we will get to hear about it in depth from a primary participant. Interestingly, both the research and the presentations were partially subsidized by MUFON OC. Donderi is currently preparing scientific papers for publication based on this work.

“Abductees and Their Involuntary Tasks”

• Our November speaker will be well known abduction researcher David Jacobs. He has recently retired from his position as Associate Professor of History at Temple University in Philadelphia, specializing in twentieth century American History and culture. Dr. Jacobs began researching unidentified flying objects in the mid 1960's, and has amassed over 38 years of primary research data and analytical hypotheses on the subject. In 1973, Dr. Jacobs completed his doctoral dissertation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on the controversy over unidentified flying objects in America. This was only the second Ph.D. degree ever granted involving a UFO-related theme.

   

  Since 1973, Dr. Jacobs has continued to devote most of his professional and personal energies to researching the UFO phenomenon in general, and the abduction phenomenon in particular. Having conducted nearly 900 hypnotic regressions with over 140 abductees, Dr. Jacobs is one of the foremost UFO abduction researchers worldwide. As a result of his extensive primary research, he has developed the first scientific typology of the abduction experience.

   

  The talk David Jacobs has planned for us will deal with the psychology of the abductees. This is how he describes what he will be discussing with us, ”Abductees have often wondered whether they were ‘chosen’ for that role.  I have always assumed that they were not.  But, I have found that there is a deeper and more complex meaning to the concept of ‘choice’ in both their lives and their role in the larger abduction program as a whole. This talk will be about the understanding of, the complexities of, and the consequences of abductees' involuntary tasks."

   

  In 1992, Simon & Schuster published Dr. Jacobs' second book, Secret Life: Firsthand Accounts of UFO Abductions. Secret Life is the most complete explanation yet published of the structure and meaning of the abduction phenomenon. The Threat followed in January of 1998. This book deals with important questions about abductions, and clarifies issues that have been the subject of much speculation for the past fifty years.

   

  In 2000, UFOs and Abductions: Challenging the Borders of Knowledge was released. This book, which David Jacobs edited, features pieces by ten expert authors writing about the UFO and abduction phenomenon, with the academic community as the target audience. This is one of the few books about abductions and UFOs ever published by an academic press.

   

  Dr. Jacobs has lectured on the subject of UFO abduction at universities and colleges across the country. In 1989, he delivered the first paper to a scientific organization about the abduction phenomenon at Cornell University. In 1992, he participated in the first session on UFOs at the History of Science Society in Washington D.C. In conjunction with his colleague Budd Hopkins, Dr. Jacobs conducted the widely discussed Roper Organization poll of the abduction phenomenon.

   

  Dr. Jacobs is a strong advocate of strict scientific and ethical research methodology. With colleagues Budd Hopkins and John Carpenter, he has given a series of workshops for members of the mental health community in the methods of abduction hypnosis, research, and therapy. In recent years, he has concentrated on ascertaining the proper methodological techniques for the hypnosis and therapy of abductees. Hopkins' and Jacobs' revised "Suggestions for Hypnosis and Therapy of Abductees" was originally published in 1994. Dr. Jacobs is currently working on a book about the methodology of hypnosis of abductees.

• Our August speaker will be T. L. Keller, who attends our MUFON OC meetings on a fairly regular basis. He has written a book called, the "Total Novice's Guide to UFOs,” a solid overview of the UFO phenomena, and quite a substantial piece of work. T. L. Keller is an aerospace engineer, aerospace historian and author.  Mr. Keller is a graduate of the School of Engineering at UCLA.  He is a former computer systems analyst at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory who in 1986, designed Space MAX: Space Station Construction Simulator, a computer program that used computer simulation to give engineers an idea of what it might be like to build in a space environment.

   

  When Tom recently sent us information about this talk, we were intrigued. Topics to be discussed include: The Antelope Valley, Lockheed Martin "Skunk Works", Secret Saucer Base Expeditions, The Tikaboo Valley, NV, Area 51 and the S4 Facility. ““The Bernadette UFO-Healing Case”

Our special guests in August will be Three-Star Brazilian General Paulo Uchoa & his daughter, Denise Uchoa Slater. They will present a talk on an amazing UFO-related healing case from the 1970s that is little known in this country. This case involves the miracle healing of the Uchoa’s young housekeeper from Chagas disease, which had already killed the rest of her family. General Alberto Uchoa, Paulo’s father and Denise’s grandfather, General Alfredo Uchoa, was the father of Brazilian ufology and parapsychology. He taught physics and was the Education Director at the Brazilian Military Academy for 15 years, where he was very much respected by his colleagues. The elder General Uchoa had many UFO sightings from the 1960s to the 1980s.

 

General Alberto Uchoa's interest in UFOs came later in life, after he had seen films of UFOs during one of several visits he made to the United States in the late 1940s to study West Point for the Brazilian government, to do background research for establishing a similar system for training officers at the military academy in his home country.

 

In the late 60's, after retiring as a general, the elder Uchoa heard from his son Paulo, a Captain in the Brazilian Army at the time, that farmers were seeing UFOs in the rural area where he was conducting military maneuvers. This area was in the state of Goias, about 100 kilometers outside of Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. The elder Uchoa investigated and after a six month dry spell with no UFO activity, he was ready when the UFO activity resumed with a vengeance. Several dozen people would often accompany him to view and investigate these sightings. These were carefully compiled and recorded in his first book "The UFOs and Parapsychology.” It was during this period that General Uchoa’s telepathic channels were opened and the interterrestrial visitors established telepathic contact with him. They often announced to him when and where the next UFO display would take place. This enabled him to invite others to join him in seeing these aerial displays.

 

Our speakers main topic for us will be the case of Bernadette, an eighteen year old girl who worked as the Uchoas’ housekeeper. Bernadette developed a case of Chagas disease, which is caused by the bite of a beetle called the triatomine bug. Left untreated, Chagas can lead to a condition similar to congestive heart failure, which tends to get progressively worse and often leads to death from severe damage to the heart muscle.

 

There was an epidemic of Chagas disease in Goias at this time in the early 1970's, which had resulted in the deaths of many people, including Bernadette’s entire family. This was due primarily to the fact that people in the area were living in mud and wattle huts, where triatomine bugs thrived.  Worried about her condition, Uchoa checked Bernadette into the local military hospital as his adopted daughter. There she spent four months in intensive care, undergoing repeated treatments to surgically remove the excess water from her heart using a syringe.

 

When her death seemed imminent, Uchoa challenged the ETs he was communicating with, telepathically asking them during a sighting " to go beyond their usual visual displays by healing Bernadette and proving that their technology was indeed more advanced than ours."

 

They replied that they could, and would, heal Bernadette if the general brought her to a certain location at a certain time. In this lecture, we will hear the details of the dramatic healing that occurred in the outskirts of Brasilia when the ETs responded, with many witnesses present. Two days after this incident, Bernadette returned to the hospital for her next treatment to drain the fluid off of her heart. The doctors were astonished to find that "her heart was dry." One of the most reassuring things about this case is that all of Bernadette’s medical records are intact. There is plenty of documentation on her condition before and after her encounter with the aliens’ blue healing light. Bernadette is still with us today, married to a papaya harvester in the town of Barghina, Brazil.

 

During this talk, we will see excerpts from a documentary that Paulo Uchoa made about the case, including footage of Bernadette. After retiring from the military, General Alberto Moacyr Uchoa went on to found UPIS, a university designed to enable working people to take college coursework at night, one of the first of its kind in Brazil. He was the President of this university for over 20 years. The institution still exists, with a current enrollment of over 4,000 students. General Uchoa wrote seven books during his lifetime, including "Parapsychology and the UFO's", "Beyond Parapsychology",  "Diving into Hyperspace", “The Great Quest”,  "Transcendental Healings" and “Oasis of Light.” He died in 1996, at 91 years of age.

 

PAULO ROBERTO YOG DE MIRANDA UCHÔA was born in the city of Niterói, State of Rio de Janeiro, in July 30^th, 1940. During his 45 years working for the Brazilian Army, Mr Uchoa had the opportunity to learn about the social reality experienced in different parts of Brazil. In January 2001, he retired as a Three Star General. Since his  retirement, General Uchoa has acted as National Secretary for Policies on Drugs of the Institutional Security Cabinet of the President´s Executive Office and as Executive-Secretary for the National Council on Drugs. He is a member of of the Orders of the Military Distinction, Navy, Air force, and the Armed Forces, at the level of Great Officer. The government of the United States has awarded him with the Medal of the Legion of Victory.

Denise Uchoa Slater has an M.A. in International Relations and is fluent in four languages. After a period spent studying French in Paris, she moved to the U.S., became a citizen, married an American and is currently busy raising two children in Virginia. She works as a Cultural Advisor and Translator for a government-related organization. Ms. Slater has seen UFOs herself, on several occasions, usually in the company of her late grandfather, but doesn’t now seek interactions with UFOs or ETs. Nor does she consider herself a UFO researcher. Her primary motive for speaking is to help keep her grandfather’s legacy alive.

“Secrets of the Contact Underground”

Joseph Burkes MD is a board certified internal medicine specialist and long time UFO investigator. He is California State Section Director for Humboldt County and has studied the UFO phenomenon since 1992 when he joined both CSETI and MUFON. During the 1990s under Dr. Steven Greer’s leadership he was CSETI Working Group Coordinator for Los Angeles and led teams of investigators into the field where limited interactions took place with UFOs. In 1998, he resigned from CSETI, but continued his friendly relationship with networks of UFO contactees as well as individual experiencers.

 

Dr. Burkes will address some of more controversial aspects of the UFO phenomenon, that being the psychic effects and the apparent consciousness connection between experiencers and a UFO associated non-human intelligence.  Dr. Burkes will also discuss some of the reasons why he believes MUFON has focused almost exclusively on the physical parameters of sightings and not on the ongoing psi aspects of the UFO experience.

 

He will describe his personal contact experiences that include numerous UFO sightings and episodes of missing time. These strange events in his opinion have been facilitated by his close association with what he calls “prime contactees,” they being individuals who are the focus of a non-human intelligence that is actively promoting a popular belief in extraterrestrial visitations.  Dr Burkes’ analysis is based in large part on the writings of John Keel and Dr. Jacques Valle that challenge the ET hypothesis and suggest that the human-UFO relationship should be linked to spiritual or paranormal phenomenon rather than to little gray beings with big eyes that come from the stars.

Beyond the “Is It Real?” Phase of UFO Studies

Randy Koppang, the author of Camouflage Through Limited Disclosure: Deconstructing a Cover-up of the ET Presence, will be with us in June.

 Randy cut his teeth working as a ufological consultant on Steven Greer’s Disclosure Project in 2001. Since then, he has developed an ever-evolving critique of the disclosure/cover-up phenomenon. Koppang will share his revisionist perspective with us during this well-illustrated talk.

 

This presentation breaks new ground by showing how corporate media is gradually preparing society to appreciate a new reality--the reality that extraterrestrials are real and influencing human experience, and how the perceived governmental cover-up plays a role in this process. The graphic illustration of these historic facts will contradict the idea that the media is only suppressing UFO information. Randy will demonstrate this for us using a montage of TV and film clips to prove his point. This talk will also show how the media’s portrayal of aliens and UFOs has shifted over the years.

 

He will describe how civilian UFO research actually serves as a consciousness raising mechanism designed to systematically transform the worldview not only of Americans, but of all Earthlings. Randy will reveal that there has been a longstanding program of incremental disclosure, carried out not by some all-powerful governmental agency, but through books, films and television. He will show how this has gradually prepared the public for eventual Official Disclosures that ET civilizations and craft are indeed real.

“Tesla: the Man, the Myth, and the Mystery”

 

Nikola Tesla’s futuristic thinking was quite unique in its time and his innovation of alternating current transformed our world. However, few people really understand the extent of his contributions. In this lecture and energy display, Michael Leas will explain Tesla’s work for us in layman’s terms and help us understand why Tesla should be regarded as a genius. He will then discuss his own experiments with zero point energy technology...and its relevance to our spiritual evolution.

Leas will be doing a wireless energy display, along with a demonstration of his Magnevex motor/generator. Michael will be bringing his wireless energy system to demonstrate the type of power used by Tesla in his dramatic energy displays, only on a smaller scale. The Magnevex name is derived from the words “magnetic vortex.” This electromagnetic generator was developed using ideas inspired by the work of Tesla and Ernest L. Norman, founder of the Unarius Society.

Michael Leas is driven by his desire to know how UFOs can travel across vast distances in space. “The Battle of Los Angeles”

Scott Littleton, Emeritus Professor of Anthropology from Occidental College, will present a remarkable eyewitness account of a mysterious flying object that "attacked" the L.A. Basin in the early 1940s.

 In the early morning hours of February 25,1942, a mysterious object cruised the skies of Southern California from the Santa Monica Mountains to Orange County. Scott Littleton, who was eight years old at the time, witnessed the event and will describe for us how he and his mother stood in front of their Hermosa Beach home watching the glowing object, surrounded by searchlight beams and a profusion of exploding anti-aircraft shells, as it passed almost directly overhead. The object glided slowly and silently along the edge of the ocean at about 8,000 feet, traveling from north to south. It eventually veered inland and disappeared from view over Redondo Beach.

 Littleton will discuss a number of theories that have been put forward over the years to explain what the object was: from a lone Japanese observation plane, to an errant barrage balloon, to a flock of wayward sea birds! He will then share his own conclusion with us that it was a bona fide UFO, most likely extraterrestrial in origin. Littleton will also address the rumor he came across in his research that the object had eventually crashed into the Pacific Ocean off of northern San Diego County, only to be retrieved later by the US Navy.

“Chosen: Recollections of UFO Abductions Through Hypnotherapy”

Yvonne Smith began researching the UFO phenomenon in the late 1980s.  After 2 years of studies and 1,000 hours of internship at the California Hypnosis Motivation Institute (the only accredited hypnosis college in the United States), she  received her hypnotherapy certification in 1990. Specializing in cases of posttraumatic stress disorder, she uses her hypnotherapy skills to assist victims to work through their anxiety. Many of her subjects are referred to her by physicians and psychiatrists who believe Smith's expertise can benefit their patients. In fact, many of her patients are themselves professionals, such as doctors, lawyers and university professors. In the course of her work, she noticed similarities between the PTSD cases referred to her and cases involving UFO abduction encounters.

In addition to being an in-demand hypnotherapist since 1991, Yvonne has traveled extensively, presenting lectures at M.I.T. and several other universities. In 1992, Yvonne founded the Close Encounters Resource Organization [ CERO], an abductees support group. She has lectured widely, including dates at international conferences in South America and Europe. She has conducted standing-room-only Experiencer sessions at the International UFO Congress in Laughlin, Nevada. The Roswell International UFO Museum invites Yvonne to be a lecturer and to m.c. the Investigator Panel at their annual “UFO Festival” held in Roswell, New Mexico every year.

“Latest UFO Physical Trace Research”

Ted Phillips is the Director of The Center for Physical Trace Research (CPTR). The Special Investigations Unit of the CPTR investigates active UFO sites. The team posts investigative logs along with images and video obtained during site visits in the field. The team’s primary purpose is to insert itself into an area of developing activity while the site is still fresh. The SIU has five highly qualified researchers and has the only dive team in the U.S. geared toward the investigation of USOs and similar anomalies.

Our speaker, Ted Phillips, is an engineer, as well as a professional photographer and musician. He participated in the Vanguard Satellite Tracking Program and was a field engineer on the Minuteman Missile Project. He began investigating UFO reports in 1964 and was a research associate of Dr. J. Allen Hynek’s from 1968 until Dr. Hynek’s death in 1986. It was at Allen Hynek’s suggestion that he began specializing in physical trace research of UFO sightings forty years ago. Phillips has personally investigated hundreds of UFO cases and his files contain 3,189 physical landing traces from 91 countries.

Phillips participated in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Aerospace Sciences meetings, along with Dr. Hynek, Jacque Vallee and Dr. David Saunders. He was a member of a select team invited to meet with the United Nations secretary-General at the U.N., along with Dr. Hynek, Dr. Vallee and astronaut Gordon Cooper. Phillips gave two presentations at the First International UFO Congress. Ted made a presentation at the first MUFON Symposium and at several others, including the 2006 Symposium. He has appeared on national television in numerous documentaries including “In Search Of”, “NBC News White Papers”, CBS News Special reports and the documentary movie, “UFOs Are Real.” Most recently, he was featured in “Alien Encounters”, a documentary on the History Channel.

Phillip’s current research projects include active UFO sites in the central U.S. and a major project in the Tatra Mountains of Slovakia. He will be briefing us on his latest research and some of his most fascinating previous cases.

"Hybrids:  New Research into the Integration Program"

David M. Jacobs, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of History at Temple University in Philadelphia, specializing in 20th Century American History and Culture. In 1973, Dr. Jacobs completed his dissertation in field of Intellectual History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, on the controversy over unidentified flying objects in America. This was the second Ph.D. degree ever granted in the U.S. involving a UFO-related theme.

Dr. Jacobs is one of the foremost UFO abduction researchers in the world. He has worked with over 140 abductees, conducting nearly 900 hypnotic regressions. Using his extensive primary research, he developed the first scientific typology of abductions. He has amassed over 38 years of primary research data and analytical hypotheses on the subject of UFOs and alien abduction.

Dr. Jacobs' breakthrough 1992 book, Secret Life: Firsthand Accounts of UFO Abductions is the most complete exposition of the structure and meaning of the abduction phenomenon yet published. His next book, The Threat, published in 1998, presented some very provocative ideas about the alien abduction program and what the motives behind it might be. Douglas Taylor is a multi-talented: artist, author, lecturer, te woodworker. During much of his youth, he was a surfer who traveled the world searching for the perfect wave. His travels stimulated his adventurous spirit and along the way, he developed a profound appreciation for nature and its healing properties. In 1978, on one of his surfing trips to the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico, he experienced an incredible psychic encounter inside a UFO and communicated telepathically with its extraterrestrial occupants.

The rediscovery of the Sons of God began with a scientific investigation into the so-called “alien abduction phenomenon” in 1993. It led the author into a labyrinth of secret paths into the human psyche and to a new understanding of the true nature of reality.  Working with an accredited psychiatrist as a co-researcher, the author undertook a multi-year research project which took him as far away as Australia and a meeting with aborigine shamans, to the villages of Mexico’s interior (with the late John E. Mack, M.D. of Harvard University) to meet and interview those who had experienced contact with non-human intelligence.  To conduct a thorough investigation, the author became accredited as a hypno-therapist and worked with his co-researcher to unlock the mysteries held in the suppressed memories of those experiencing contact.

During this period, the author was drawn into a journey of self-discovery as he explored his own highly personal hypnotic regression into past lives. Much to his amazement, what he discovered led him to the shores of the Dead Sea and a pilgrimage to
Qumran, the site at which the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered hidden in caves in 1947.  It was there that he began to understand the connection between the ancient texts, the story of Jesus and the modern-day UFO phenomenon.  That there was any connection at all was a startling revelation to the author, but amazing and synchronous events made it clear that his path was guided by unearthly forces which could not be ignored.

In 1986, McCandlish became aware that the U.S. military was in possession of some extraordinary technologies, and began to pursue his own private research into where it came from and how it works. Following up on last year's meeting where our own members related their experiences, we are having the second annual experience meeting. This program will feature our members talking about their own experiences. Why are so many UFO shows on TV not nearly as good as they should be? How many times have you turned on a program that you hoped would be a balanced look at UFOs, only to feel tricked by the end of the show? Who is responsible for the content of these programs? Is it the networks’ agenda to debunk the reality of UFOs?

As a producer, writer and/or editor for many episodes of the History Channel show, “UFO Files”, Duane will reveal the source of this bias and some of the roadblocks he ran into while conceiving and creating shows for the series. He will also discuss evidence he found out along the way that turned him from a skeptic into someone who respects the reality of UFOs. He’ll be discussing his experiences working on episodes such as: Hanger 18, Grey’s Agenda, Alien Encounters, UFO Hot Spots, UFO Hunters (the original special, not the current series), Texas’ Roswell and When UFOs Arrive. He’ll also tell us a little about his current projects.

Duane Tudahl grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where he worked as a medical photographer in the Pathology Department of Johns Hopkins Hospital (Bay View). He moved to Los Angeles in 1987 and was soon editing such Emmy-nominated shows as “Unsolved Mysteries” and the first season of “COPS”. Over time, Duane worked as a producer, writer or editor for over 30 major-network TV programs, including “Ripley’s Believe It or Not”, “Intervention” and “World’s Wildest Police Videos”.

Along the way, he was fortunate enough to team up with co-producer John Greenewald Jr. and have the chance to interview some of the brightest people in the UFO field, including Stanton Friedman, Ted Phillips, Scott Ramsey, Ruben Uriarte, Jim Marrs, Ryan Wood, Stephen Bassett, Ann Drufel and Nick Redfern, among others. “UFOs and the National Security State”

Richard M. Dolan was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1962. He holds an MA in history from the University of Rochester and a Certificate in Political Theory from Oxford University. He was also a Rhodes Scholar finalist. Prior to his interest in anomalous phenomena, Dolan studied U.S. Cold War strategy, Soviet history, and international diplomacy.

 In 2000, he published a 500-page study, UFOs and the National Security State. This is the first volume of a two-part historical narrative of the national security dimensions of the UFO phenomena from 1941 to 1973. The Book includes records from more than fifty military bases relating to violations of sensitive airspace by unknown objects, demonstrating that the U.S. military has taken the topic of UFOs very seriously indeed.

Apollo 14 astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell called Dolan’s book “monumental,” while Dr. Hal Puthoff, Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies at Austin, declared it to be “a must-read for serious students in the field.”

Dolan believes recovered alien technology is in the possession of powerful private multinational interests, who may also be pulling the strings of the U.S. government and other governments across the world. He speculates that former President George H. W. Bush  may have knowledge about UFOs. However, he believes most government officials do not. According to Dolan, responsibility for “the UFO problem” was formally removed from the Office of the President in 1969. Dolan believes that multinational corporations have subverted our traditional constitutional government in order to protect the knowledge they’ve acquired about UFOs and alien technology. Such technology includes fiber optics, lasers and integrated circuit chips.

Dolan will tell us about media control and self-censorship of information about UFOs, governmental black budget spending and how elaborate cover-stories  about UFOs have been maintained for so long. Dolan has appeared on numerous television documentaries for the History Channel, Sci Fi Channel, as well as the BBC and European networks. Lloyd Pye is an author, researcher, and lecturer in the field of alternative knowledge. Eisenhower's Secret Trip to Holloman Air Force Base to View ET Craft

Art has gone beyond field research into the San Augustin crash and begun a groundbreaking exploration of the possible role of President Eisenhower in the UFO phenomenon.

The year was 1955. Gasoline was 23 cents a gallon, the minimum wage was 75 cents and President Eisenhower was in the third year of his first term. The world was poised on the brink of international crisis: Eisenhower had just threatened the Red Chinese that if they invaded Formosa (Taiwan), they would face the threat of nuclear war. Our allies were concerned and angry, and the Russians were ready to test their first megaton H-bomb. With all this international tension, what did the leader of the free world do? He went bird hunting in Georgia!

At least, that was the cover story. What really happened was something else entirely, something involving off-world national security issues. Through diligent research, Art Campbell has tracked down eye-witnesses who support the claim that Eisenhower actually detoured to New Mexico’s Holloman Air Force Base to view extraterrestrial craft. Art will be showing us footage from interviews with these witnesses.

Was it a coincidence that on the day of Eisenhower’s visit, the base radar was shut down and two UFOs were seen flying into the base at low altitude? Art Campbell has been interested in UFO research since the 1950s. He was an early NICAP investigator in the 1950s in Kansas City, Missouri, where he worked with Donald Keyhoe. In 1994, with a map from a rancher, he visited the site on the Plains of San Augustin, New Mexico, 165 miles west of Roswell, where some believe a UFO crashed in July, 1947. There he found a phenomenal amount of physical material. He subsequently had it scientifically analyzed and was able to identify seven kinds of unusual foil containing high levels of silicon, iron and manganese which were unknown to the foil industry at that time. Much of this compelling research was documented in Art’s book, UFO Crash at San Augustin. In 1958, Art met President Harry Truman, and Donald Keyhoe's subsequent letter to President Truman on this topic is quoted in the beginning of his book.

Art has lectured for many UFO groups throughout the years, and has been a featured guest on dozens of radio shows. This program will feature our members talking about their own experiences. Some preliminary titles include: “My Personal Experiences”, “Seeing Is Believing”, “A Life-changing Complete Alien Abduction Experience”, “Personal Recollections since Age 4”, “My Three own Personal Experiences”, “My 1965 Daylight Sighting” and “A Close Encounter while in the Navy”. The talks will last 10, 15 or 20 minutes, depending on content, including Q&A.

Each talk will be timed to ensure smooth flow. Each person will relate a specific first-hand encounter they have had either seeing a UFO or interacting with aliens. This has the potential to be one of the best meetings of the year!

Biographical Information

Born in 1954, Jim Sparks spent his early years in Florida. He studied real estate at a community college there and after that, began working for a major condominium firm. After 12 year, he went out on his own and started his own company, J&J Properties, a natural land development company that operated mostly in North Carolina. A conservationist at heart, he made efforts to remove as few trees as possible from the land used in his development projects.

At 34 years old, Sparks’ relatively mundane life was changed forever when he began having encounters with otherworldly beings in 1988. At first, he thought these unexplained incidents were simply very vivid dreams. After eighteen years of interaction with these beings, Sparks’ attitude has changed from one of resistance to one of cooperation. He feels it is important for him to share his experiences with others. Now 53, Jim Sparks lives in Las Vegas, Nevada where until recently, he ran a debt consolidation company. Like many of us, he’s concerned about the declining health of the planet. Paul Stonehill was just eight years old when he met the retired pilot who would change his life. While flying over the Russian arctic, the pilot told Stonehill he had seen a disk-shaped craft following his plane so closely that his crew opened fire. Intrigued, the youngster began a lifelong quest to learn about UFOs, especially those sighted over his homeland of Kiev. After emigrating to the United States as a teen, Stonehill kept in touch with other Russians interested in the Soviet-banned study of UFOlogy by smuggling messages through friends. Now a 34-year-old executive and naturalized U.S.citizen, Stonehill says his networking has put him in touch with scientists, military personnel, and UFO witnesses and investigators all over the former USSR. In fact, thanks to glasnost and his recently established Russian UFOlogy Research Center in Tarzana, California, Stonehill now openly acts as liaison between UFOlogy contacts in Russia and the new Commonwealth of Independent States and counterparts in the United States. "I want to provide Americans with a true picture of UFOlogy in the former Soviet Union," Stonehill comments, "and I want to help my Russian colleagues discern between tabloid UFOlogy and serious research." 

Toward that end, Stonehill reviews hundreds of Russian UFO cases a year,calling some 60 percent "genuine, backed by witnesses and hard facts." In fact, piecing together information from his Russian contacts, Stonehill says he's come up with evidence that UFOlogy was a focus of the former Soviet regime. For instance, when a large UFO allegedly plummeted to Earth outside the city of Omsk in the late 1980s,the military reportedly moved the wreckage to Moscow. "My sources say the Soviet government conducted secret research based on the technology devised from this crash." Based on research by underground Soviet UFOlogists such as Anatoly Cistratav, Stonehill now also suspects there must have been some joint U.S.-Soviet programs aimed at developing the so-called Star Wars technology. 

Meanwhile, when it comes to fostering communication between Russian and American UFOlogists, Stonehill isn't alone. Former NASA experimental psychologist Richard Haines of Los Altos, California, recently founded the Joint USA-CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) Aerial Anomaly Federation. The Federation, including more than 160 groups throughout the United States and the former Soviet Union, will sponsor yearly meetings, translate UFO documents, and encourage collaborative scientific research into UFOs. Haines is also studying the difference between alien abductions reported in the United States and the former USSR. After hypnotizing a number of Russians in their native language, Haines has concluded that the "stories are basically the same over there, except that Russians tend to describe aliens taller than those in the West." 

James Oberg, an expert on the Soviet space program and pundit on the UFO scene in the former USSR, however, takes a dim view of UFOlogy as practiced in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. "They're often weirder than the weirdest American group," he comments, "because they've been living in an information vacuum for so long." Stonehill, predictably, disagrees. Russian UFOlogists need help, not criticism, he states. A case in point: Russian researchers don't even have access to equipment for analyzing a film purported to depict a UFO hovering near Odessa last year. "Russian UFOlogists need state-of-the-art research tools," Stonehill concludes. "They need more visits from their Western colleagues and fewer debunkers on their backs."

Don Ledger is a writer and the author of 3 books. His most recent book is "Dark Object", co-authored with Chris Styles, deals with the crash of a UFO into the water off of Shag Harbour , Nova Scotia on October 4, 1967. Mr. Ledger's other two books are, "Swissair Down", which dealt with the crash of Swissair Flight 111 in September of 1998 and "The Maritime UFO Files", a compendium of 145 UFO reports from the 1930s to the present day on the east coast of Canada.

Don is a regular contributor to the Toronto based radio show "Strange Days Indeed", hosted by Errol Bruce-Knapp. He has been involved in half a dozen television documentaries dealing with both the Shag Harbour Incident and UFOs in general, as well as numerous radio shows in both Canada and the United States. He has been an active UFO investigator for over 10 years.

Barred from the UFO lecture circuit, because he was not willing to subscribe to the notion, 50 years ago, that UFOs were ships from other planets, with men in them, Trevor left the UFO field and took up the engineering of weather, using the late Dr. Wilhelm Reich's famous "cloud buster" invention. In a 26 year  career in the U.S. Merchant Marine as a Radio Electronics Officer. He explored and also greatly modified Dr. Reich's cloud buster. By 1994 he had carried this work into an effective airborne modality and formed a Singapore company for its world expansion.

The fifty years that have passed since his original discoveries, have seen an enormous expansion of science and space technology.  Men have walked on the moon. HOW DO YOU KNOW IT’S A UFO?

You see a light in the sky.  Is it a star, an airplane, a military flare, or a bona fide UFO?  Marsha Adams, president of the International Earthlight Alliance,  will show you methods to determine if your sighting is truly anomalous.  Adams has done field research for more than a decade taking photographs and geophysical measurements in areas where “earthlights” occur, at sacred sites in the American Southwest, Norway, Scotland and England.  (Earthlights are balls of light that arise spontaneously over the ground. Both earthlight researchers and UFOlogists encounter the same challenges determining the validity of their sightings. Dr. Joseph Burkes was born in New York in 1949. After attending UCLA as an undergraduate, in 1976 he received his MD degree from Tufts University in Boston. Since 1979 he has been a staff physician for a large HMO in Southern California. His area of specialization is general internal medicine. Dr Burkes has worked in primary care, geriatrics, occupational medicine and in the emergency room department of his medical group.

Dr. Burkes has participated in a number of peace and social justice movements of the last century. During the 1960's he was a student activist working to end the war in Vietnam. The follow decade as a young doctor he served as an organizer and medical consultant to the Los Angeles Committee on Occupational Safety and Health. That group was part of a nation wide coalition of health and legal professionals who labored to make the American workplace safer. In the 1980's he was a member of Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR). Its educational campaign focused on ending the nuclear arms race. In the Los Angeles chapter of PSR Dr. Burkes served as head of Speaker Training and co-produced the physicians radio show, "Prescription for Survival." He briefly served on the national board of Directors of PSR. During the cold war he traveled to the former Soviet Union four times as part of the umbrella organization international Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War. This group received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985 for its educational campaign to warn world citizens and governments of the growing dangers of the nuclear arms race.

In May of 1992, less than a year after the fall of the Soviet Union Dr. Burkes met fellow ER physician Dr. Steven Greer. For the next five years Dr. Burkes was closely associated with Dr. Greer's Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI). This research organization studied the UFO phenomenon by directly attempting to interact with an extraterrestrial intelligence presumably responsible for the appearance of some UFOs. CSETI under Dr. Greer's leadership devised a set of contact protocols that allowed field investigators to carry out real-time research of the flying saucer phenomenon. On Dr. Burkes' first fieldwork session, with multiple other witnesses present, he observed anomalous nocturnal light that fulfilled his definition of a UFO. Human initiated contact with the presumed intelligence responsible for UFOs is designated by CSETI as a Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind(CE-5). The CSETI project facilitating these encounters has been called the CE-5 Initiative. In August of 1992 Dr. Burkes was named as Los Angeles Working Group Coordinator for the CE-5 Initiative. He held this CSETI post till 1998. In the course of his contact work Dr. Burkes reports witnessing multiple CE-5s in the US, Mexico and England. 

Dr. Burkes views his work with the contact movement as an extension of his past efforts, to establish peace and social justice. If the ET Hypothesis is correct, as CSETI maintains, and non-human intelligence of an Extraterrestrial nature is present on our planet, than a citizens' diplomatic movement will be required to promote peaceful contact with our newly found neighbors.

In 1998 as the result of family and professional responsibilities, Dr. Burkes resigned form his leadership position in the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence. PROJECT BETA: HOW THE U.S. GOVERNMENT CREATED AN ALIEN INVASION Greg Bishop will be speaking on his research into the story of electrical physicist Paul Bennewitz, who thought he had stumbled onto evidence of an alien invasion, but in the process was directing attention to secret projects at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico in the early 1980s. The Night They Were Here -- The Flatwoods Monster Incident!

Feschino opens up his presentation by speaking about his involvement in the 1952, Flatwoods Monster case. The audience will then see a documentary produced by the author which he narrates. During his research Feschino recorded rare eyewitness testimonies and the many on-site locations involved in the story.

The never before seen eyewitness interviews and location footage are balanced with Feschino's full color Illustrations as he takes the audience on a step-by-step adventure into the story.

Nuclear Physicist and Ufologist Stanton T. Friedman who worked with Feschino and wrote the foreword, and epilog for his book "The Braxton County Monster" makes a guest appearance in this documentary. 

Upon graduation from high school, Frank Feschino Jr. was accepted to Paier School of Art, a private college in Hamden Connecticut. His major field of study was Commercial Art, specialized in Illustration, with a minor in Advertising. Along with these studies, he also studied Photography. After completing a four year program, he received an Art’s Diploma in 1981. After graduation, he worked as an illustrator and assisted in his father’s business.

In the early 1990’s, Feschino became involved in UFO and Crop Circle research in West Virginia. He frequently visited a relative’s farm located in Braxton County, where Crop Circles appeared over night and UFO sightings were frequent. This is when Feschino learned about the 1952 “Braxton County Monster” Incident, which occurred in Flatwoods, near his cousin’s farm. In 1991, he contacted MUFON and was granted a meeting with Crop Circle enthusiast, Colin Andrews. Shortly afterward, Feschino met with MUFON representatives and Colin Andrews and supplied him with his West Virginia UFO and Crop Circle documentation. He continued to collaborate with Andrews about the ongoing anomalies occurring in Braxton County but Frank’s curiosity with the Flatwoods Incident proved to be his calling. He began to investigate this 1952 incident at a deeper level and devoted all of his time to it. Feschino moved to Florida to further his education. In 1993, he enrolled in Phillip’s JR College and studied film and video production. He continued to travel to West Virginia during his schooling but was now armed with camera operation knowledge as well as interviewing and scriptwriting skills. It was during Frank’s two-year training program that the Braxton County Monster evolved into a production project. He combined his strong Art background together with his video production and scriptwriting skills; his story began to take shape.

After graduating from Phillip’s JR College, Feschino began to travel more and expanded his research throughout the eastern United States, continually gathering more information. His investigation gained the attention of television and radio psychic, Gary Spivey. Frank voiced nearly 50 radio shows in Florida discussing the subject of UFOs and his West Virginia research. He made several guest appearances in the Tampa area at conventions and then expanded his radio audience into the Atlanta area as well as the Baltimore area. Meanwhile, Frank was working on his video documentary and piecing it together from his script when he simultaneously began writing a book. This hectic schedule put a temporary end to his public appearances and he again concentrated solely on his book project. After going into seclusion for the next few years, Frank finished his book. In addition to his book manuscript, he also illustrated it with over 40 paintings and drawings as well as hundreds of accompanying photographs. In October of 2001, Frank Feschino JR went public again after his four-year absence. This time he went public in Flatwoods West Virginia as a guest of the town’s mayor. Frank appeared at the Flatwoods Fall Festival with special guests, witnesses Fred and Kathleen May, who made a very rare public appearance. This public appearance marked and celebrated the 49th Anniversary of the Flatwoods Monster Incident. Frank informed several hundred curious visitors who came to Flatwoods inquiring about the story, that a book would soon be made available. Feschino’s dedication and devotion to this story has gained the trust of those involved in this incident to only speak with him and no one else.

Several other key witnesses involved directly with this incident that were interviewed by Feschino have since passed away during the past ten years. Although they are no longer with us, Feschino has their interviews and testimonies on video and audiotape. Frank Feschino JR holds the key to unlocking the truth and the ability to make the public aware of what actually occurred on September 12, 1952.

Freeman and his staff at the Pentagon, and a Select Committee of Britain's House of Lords. Fred Steckling and his son, also participated in numerous lecture tours, TV and radio broadcasts worldwide, and some of the research of his second book published in 1983, We Discovered Alien Bases on the Moon, was updated and expanded by Glenn in 1997. Often replicated but never thoroughly duplicated since, this work helped define lunar anomaly investigation and publications in this field.

   Bruce Maccabee

Bruce Maccabee  presented his best and most interesting UFO analysis cases.

Bruce spent his early year in Rutland, Vt. After high school he studied physics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass (B.S. in physics) and then at The American University, Washington, DC (M.S. and Ph. D. in physics). 

In 1972 commenced his long career at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, presently headquartered at Dahlgren, Virginia. He has worked on optical data processing, generation of underwater sound with lasers and various aspects of the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) using high power lasers. Bruce Maccabee has been active in UFO research since late 1960s when he joined the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) and was active in research and investigation for NICAP until its demise in 1980. He became a member of MUFON in 1975 and was subequently appointed to the position of state Director for Maryland, a position he still holds. In 1979 he was instrumental in establishing the Fund for UFO Research and was the chairman for the about 13 years. He presently serves on the National Board of the Fund.

His UFO research and investigations (which are completely unrelated to his Navy work) have included the Kenneth Arnold sighting (Jun 24, 1947), the McMinnville, Oregon (Trent) photos of 1950, the Gemini 11 astronaut photos of September, 1966, the New Zealand sightings of December, 1978, the Japan Airlines (JAL1628) sighting of November 1986, the numerous sightings of Ed Walters and others in Gulf Breeze, Florida, 1987 - 1988, the "red bubba" sightings,1990-1992 (including his own sighting in September, 1991), the Mexico City video of August, 1997, the Phoenix lights sightings of March 13, 1997 at 10 PM and many others. He has also done historical research and was the first to obtain the "flying disc file" of the FBI (the REAL X-Files!).

Dr. Maccabee is the author or coauthor of about three dozen technical articles and more than a hundred UFO articles over the last 25 years, including many which appeared in the MUFON Journal and MUFON Symposium proceedings. He wrote the last chapter of "The Gulf Breeze Sightings" by Edward and Frances Walters (Morrow, 1990). He wrote the UFO history chapter of the book "UFOs: Zeugen und Zeichen," published in Germany in 1995. He is co-author with Edward Walters of "UFOs Are Real, Here's The Proof," (Avon Books, 1997), he is the author of "The UFO/FBI Connection" (Llewellyn Books, May, 2000) and he is the author of novel, "Abduction in My Life," (to be published, November, 2000). He is listed in Who's Who in Technology Today and American Men and Women of Science an he has appeared on numerous radio and TV shows and documentaries.

Bruce is an accomplished pianist who performed at the 1997 and 1999 MUFON symposia. He lives in Frederick County, Maryland.

Giorgio A. Tsoukalos is the Chairman of the A.A.S. R.A. (Archaeology, Astronautics and SETI Research Association) and the Publisher and Editor in Chief of the A.A.S. R.A.'s official Quarterly Legendary Times.

Erik Poltorak on Sitchin’s History of Mankind and the wars between Gods and Men

Erik Poltorak, a stock broker in Los Angeles, is the webmaster for www.sitchin.com the official website of Zecharia Sitchin. He has been working with Zecharia since last century on his website and helping him run his seminars. Erik began studying the Bible in Hebrew from the earliest ages. Up until about the age of 17, he had been going to private schools with an education program that included English and Hebrew studies. By 1997 Erik began to read and hear Zecharia, and was lucky enough to go on several group trips with him. They traveled to England, Malta, Mexico and Italy together. With other groups Erik has traveled to Egypt and Israel. Each trip included visiting and exploring ancient sites and structures. His main area of study is looking at the first occurrences of themes, stories and language found in the archeological record. And then comparing them to the historical record and see where the consistencies are.

Mr. McMoneagle has 34 years of professional expertise in research and development, in numerous multi-level technical systems, the paranormal, and the social sciences. Spacecraft Evidence of a Former Martian           Civilization

We are the first generation in Modern human history to send spacecraft to Mars and take high resolution photographs of our most Earth-like neighboring planet. To make sense of the anomalous spacecraft images from mars, we need the latest information about our solar system that science can offer. First, we discuss why the speed of light is no longer a limiting speed in the universe despite the century-long belief that it was. This has implications for the propagation speed of gravity, which is now understood to be strongly faster than light. Under the right circumstances, gravity can become a stellar and planetary explosion mechanism. Apparently, one such event was the explosion of "Planet V" 65 million years ago near the present orbit of Mars. Planet V was the parent, and Mars was a former moon. We then view additional photos showing the anticipated what we have seen in some of these nearly 200,000 photos: strong indications of bacterial and plant life, non-geological shapes, spots and stripes, tracks and trails, patterns and symbols, a network of glassy tubes, and even artistic imagery. We are inevitably driven to an interpretation consistent with the most ancient legends  in human history, yet with a shocking difference!

Biography

Tom received his Ph.D. degree in Astronomy, specializing in celestial mechanics, from Yale University in 1969. He spent 20 years at the U.S. Naval Observatory, where he became the Chief of the Celestial Mechanics Branch. In 1991, Tom formed a Washington, DC-based organization, Meta Research, to foster research into ideas not otherwise supported solely because they conflict with mainstream theories in Astronomy. Tom is editor of the Meta Research Bulletin, which specializes in reporting anomalies and evidence that does not fit with standard theories in the field. During the past few years, he has also been a Research Associate at the University of Maryland Physics Department in College Park, MD, and a consultant to the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, MD, working on improving the accuracy of the Global Positioning System (GPS).

North Atlantic Books is the publisher of Tom's 1993 book, "Dark Matter, Missing Planets and New Comets". A second edition was published in 1999. As with his research papers, the book is critical of many standard models in astronomy, such as the Oort Cloud, the Dirty Snowball, and the Big Bang theory. Tom also organizes the Eclipse Edge Expeditions to optimal solar eclipse viewing sites.

During his career as a professional research astronomer, Tom has been honored by a prize from the Gravity Research Foundation; served on the Council of American Astronomical Society's Division on Dynamical Astronomy; taught astronomy at the University of South Florida and to Navy Department employees; been a consultant to NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab; and done several spots for the "Project Universe" series that continues to air occasionally on public TV.

"The Incredible Billy Meier Case"

Micheal Horn's eclectic background, his penetrating knowledge, and his enjoyable wit made his presentation an evening to remember. Michael Horn’s multi-media presentation included Billy Meier’s amazingly clear, still irreproducible UFO photos, films, video, sound recordings, metal analysis and new physical evidence in the only scientifically proven, still ongoing (for over 63 years!) UFO case in history. Michael presented irrefutable proof of Meier’s prophetically accurate information- including his 1958 warning of two U.S. wars in Iraq! Michael also showed never before seen photos and fascinating information on Meier’s experiences and meetings With many world leaders during the 1950s and 1960s in Asia, Africa, India and the Middle East. The audience also learned about the Talmud Of Jammanuel (the true name of the man known as “Jesus”), possibly the most important spiritual document in the past 2,000 years, which Meier co-discovered. People who thought that they “knew all about” the Meier case, as well as those who’ve never heard of it, received an eye-opening presentation on what is either the biggest, most impenetrable hoax - or the most most important story in all of human history.

      Christopher O'Brian

In 1989, after over a decade in NYC where he was a professional designer, musician and actor/model, Christopher O'Brien moved to the San Luis Valley, in South-central Colorado. He began a private investigation of unusual documented events in the SLV which resulted in his first book for St. Martin's Press titled, The Mysterious Valley (Sept 1996) which is in a fifth printing. His second book, Enter the Valley (Feb 1999), already in its third printing, continues his compelling investigation into documented UFO reports, unusual animal deaths, Native American legends, cryptozoology, secret military activity and the folklore found in the world's largest alpine valley. O'Brien has also co-written an action/adventure film screenplay, Deadline, which was a finalist in the 1998 Southwest Screenwriter's Guild contest and is currently consulting for two Hollywood feature film productions.

Since 1993, he has written articles for Fate, UFO Universe, Leading Edge, CyberWest, Western Spirit, Crestone Eagle, Phenomena, Zeitgeist and UFO Encounters. His investigation and research have been featured in the Denver Post, Pueblo Chieftain, the New Mexican, the Rocky Mountain News, the Albuquerque Journal, the Deseret News, Phenomenon, (France) OVNI (Spain), Borderline (Japan) and in an on-going series of articles in Western Spirit Magazine. He has appeared on dozens of regional and national radio stations and is a perennial guest lecturer at Adam's State College. An entertaining speaker, O'Brien has captivated conference and seminar audiences nationwide with his unique insight into some of our culture’s last remaining mysteries. He has hosted his own regional Colorado/New Mexico radio show, Mysterious Valley Radio Report 1996 to1999, and published the Mysterious Valley Report from 1993 to1999

O'Brien has also developed, supplied footage, field-produced and appeared in four segments of the syndicated Paramount television program Sightings. Nick Pope is a British Ministry of Defense official, still currently employed at the Ministry of Defense, who headed up the Ministry’s office for research and investigation of the UFO phenomenon for a number of years in the 1990s. Biography

I work at the Ministry of Defence, which I joined in 1985. I’ve had many different postings and have undertaken a fascinating series of jobs within the Department, including work in the Joint Operations Centre during the Gulf War, where I was a briefer in the Air Force Operations Room. I’ve also been involved in work on the crises in Iraq and Afghanistan. I’m a Senior Executive Officer, which is a civilian grade equivalent to the military rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Between 1991 and 1994, I was posted to a division called Secretariat (Air Staff) and was given the job of researching and investigating the UFO phenomenon, mirroring the work done in the US by the now defunct Project Blue Book. Although most of the cases could be explained as misidentifications of known objects and phenomena, a hard core of sightings defied any conventional explanation. Strong evidence emerged suggesting the presence of structured craft capable of speeds and manoeuvres beyond the capability of even the most advanced prototype craft operated by the Royal Air Force or the United States Air Force.

My unique access to new data and old government files convinced me that the UFO phenomenon raised serious defence and national security issues. I came across numerous instances where UFOs had been tracked on radar, leading to jets being scrambled. There were also cases where there had been terrifying near-misses between UFOs and civilian aircraft. All this led me to believe that an extraterrestrial explanation for some sightings could not be ruled out.

Through my official investigations into UFOs I was drawn into other mysteries such as alien abductions, crop circles, animal mutilations and ghosts. Although no longer carrying out this sort of work for the government, I continue my research and investigation in a private capacity.

I’ve written four books: Open Skies, Closed Minds details my official UFO work, while The Uninvited deals with alien abductions; Operation Thunder Child and Operation Lightning Strike are science fiction novels based on my government work.

I’ve done extensive media work, including the BBC's Newsnight and Radio 4's Today programme. I've lectured all around the world, at academic conferences, museums, military bases and the Oxford Union.

Project Aquarius & The Dan Burisch Story

In his presentation for MUFON-OC,  Bill Hamilton talked about the  NSA “Project Aquarius” which deals with UFOs? The first indication of such a project was found in a telex revealed by UFO Researcher Bill Moore in a document marked “Secret” and dated November 17, 1980.

Only this controversial document and one other UFO-related document found through FOIA requests refer to “Project Aquarius”. However, the existence of an umbrella project that covers the study of extraterrestrial biological life forms has again come to the foreground with veteran researcher William Hamilton’s investigation of microbiologist Dr. Dan Burisch. This mysterious scientist claims to have worked under project Aquarius at Papoose Mountain in an underground biological lab. Burisch confided in Hamilton that he was a working group leader who obtained over 200 tissue samples from a live EBE known as J-ROD.

Bill Hamilton also presented information in support of Dr. Burisch’s claims. This exciting talk included slides and videos that examine recent findings in Astrobiology, the physics of time travel, and UFO studies together with information Hamilton gleaned from six months of interviews with Dr. Burisch.

Esen Sekerkarar presented documentation of alien encounters, showed amazing photos of UFOs and revealed documentation of CIA collaboration with the Turkish Intelligence Agency, she also showed  some incredible film footage, including a Turkish jet pilot's dogfight with a UFO!  

Esen has been involved in the UFO field since 1998 with the opening of the Sirius UFO Space Sciences Research Center (SUSSRC) where she worked until 2002. The Center also made a weekly TV documentary called UFO Reality, co-produced by Esen, which was broadcast on a national TV channel in Turkey.

Daniel Sheehan, as a famous civil rights attorney provided legal counsel for the Karen Silkwood case, Iran-Contra and the Pentagon Papers. He is the former chief legal counsel to the United States Jesuit Headquarters.

UFO Crash Retrievals - U. S. Government Policy of Denial in the Interest of National Security

In the mid-1990s, Linda was approached by former New Mexico State Representative Andrew Kissner about his official and off-the-record research concerning the 1947 Roswell and other alleged UFO crash retrieval incidents in New Mexico. Rep. Kissner had assembled many old newspaper articles and leaked government information from unofficial military and intelligence testimonies. Rep. Kissner asserted there was an American government policy to shoot down unidentified discs in the late 1940s to early 1950s until retaliation by the discs, which included the deaths of many pilots, forced a cancellation of our aggression. Linda presented information about the possible nature of the disc retaliation and other disturbing phenomena linked to the non-human intelligence controlling the discs.

For almost 60 years the public has been hearing about flying saucers and then UFOs. Press coverage has ebbed and flowed, but polls have always shown a very high awareness score. Angel Hair: Physical Evidence of UFOs

Angel hair, a white, fibrous substance seen to fall to earth, was shown to be a part of the UFO phenomenon. Evidence shows  the correlation of UFOs with angel hair falls, repetitive unusual physical properties, and a scientific analysis. Historical cases awere covered, showing that this is a centuries-old phenomenon. Little known cases of high strangeness were presented, as well as government responses, including Project Blue Book Documents from the National Archives.
